Are you a member of the Museum? Have you taken a class or visited an exhibition? Then you are part of the Academy Art Museum family and belong in our family photo! Join us as we recreate this historic 1983 photo (see left). Forty years ago, the staff wanted to showcase its programs and community partners, so they invited everyone to bring their musical instruments, easels, and artworks to the Academy’s South Street lawn for a group portrait. Photographer Joan Norton- Taylor climbed onto a truck on loan from the Easton Volunteer Fire Department to capture the artists, musicians, ballerinas, staff, and donors who constituted the Academy community at the time.
Our family has grown since then. We’d like to create a new bigger photo this time. We have the photographer lined up, Tom McCall. And the fire truck. Now, all we need is you.
