The Director of Education and Interpretation is responsible for overseeing the Academy Art Museum’s educational vision and interpretive initiatives. This leadership role encompasses, ensuring that education is central to the museum’s public engagement from the moment visitors arrive. Key areas of oversight include K-12 education, adult learning programs, exhibition interpretation, and public programming.
The Director serves as a strategic leader, innovator, and collaborator who fosters high-quality, inclusive programming that aligns with the museum’s mission to advance the understanding and appreciation of art. This position is part of the senior leadership team, contributing to institutional decision-making, policy development, budget management, and strategic planning.
