In this workshop, Abby will instruct students on how to create a geometric or abstract work with a strong compositional quality. Students will explore various abstract elements, such as shape, pattern, texture, and line, while experimenting with various methods to implement these. Students will discuss the works of abstract artists to broaden their understanding, while creating various color studies in gouache before transitioning to a larger canvas. Gouache or acrylic mediums will be used. Minimum of 5 students, maximum of 10.
