Altered Book Sculptures
One-day workshop: Saturday, August, 22nd, 10:30AM—1:30PM
In this class we will learn various folding techniques that can be used to turn old books into beautiful sculptural art. Students can choose from a collection of books provided by the instructor or bring books from their own library to work with. Once the basic folding structures are mastered, we will then explore ways in which we can take the concepts and add our own creative spin to them by thinking about other art mediums we can use to build on the sculptural book forms. This is an easy and meditative process that can be interpreted in unlimited creative ways! Perfect for all skill levels and creative interests.
