Artist-in-Residence: Esteban del Valle
May 13-June 24, 2026

Summer 2026 Artist-in-Residence
The Academy Art Museum is proud to welcome Esteban del Valle, a Brooklyn-based interdisciplinary artist known for his dynamic paintings and murals that blend drawing, color, and gesture. Originally from Chicago and trained at the Rhode Island School of Design, his work has been exhibited internationally and is held in major collections including Urban Nation (Berlin) and the Zimmerli Art Museum.
This summer, Esteban will create new large-scale work in Easton while engaging with the community through select public programs:
- Artist Lecture: May 14, 6–7 PM
- First Friday Open Studio: June 5, 5–7 PM
- Juneteenth Celebration: June 20, 12–4 PM
- Workshop – A Million Leaves!: June 27–28
A central component of the residency is a collaboration with Talbot Mentors, culminating in a mural created with local youth.
Follow Esteban’s work and return throughout the residency to see it evolve.
With Gratitude
This residency is made possible through the generous support of Mary Ann Schindler, with partnership from the Waterfowl Festival, and in collaboration with Talbot Mentors.
