Groener’s work is rooted in drawing and moves through sculpture, installation, painting, video, and animation. In this talk, the artist will introduce the community to her practice and explore key themes and materials: twigs, twine, and cardboard into delicate sculptural metaphors for the interconnectedness of individual experiences, histories, and world events It will include a fragment of Shelter, a new stop-motion animation currently in progress, made collaboratively with the Talbot Interfaith Shelter and Matt Kresling.
