Join Dr. Benjamin Tilghman, Washington College Associate Professor of Art History, as he provides a guided tour throughout the National Gallery of Art. On this tour, Dr. Tilghman will explore masterworks from the NGA’s extraordinary collection of Italian Renaissance Art that will bring to life themes from the Spring Art History Lecture Series. Works by Giovanni Bellini, Giotto di Bondone, Sandro Botticelli, Filippo Lippi, Titian, Leonardo da Vinci, and more will reveal how Renaissance art stood at the intersections of power, science, intercultural exchange, and religion.
