During this workshop, Artist-in-Residence Emily Lombardo will introduce the technique of etching within the context of its historical legacy. Along with technical demonstrations every student will have one-on-one meetings to discuss the content of their piece. This workshop will meld old world and contemporary processes to achieve etchings which are culturally relevant while in conversation with the past. It will be held in the new Visual Arts Studio using a recently acquired press.
