PAINTING STUDIO

Come back to school with watercolor that you looked forward to using when you were younger and put all your assumptions aside that this medium is “too unforgiving.” Class will cover all the basics of transparent watercolor, including brush handling, color theory, and a few drawing techniques pertinent to watercolor. Students will learn the secret of how to paint fresh not muddy colors, how to utilize only transparent pigments in a limited palette designed to keep colors fresh, and how to choose the best papers for our subjects.
