Poets love to tell stories about their own lives and the lives of those around them. But there’s more to writing a good narrative poem than telling a story in lines instead of paragraphs. In this workshop, we will talk about the varying perspectives from which a story can be told and the techniques that poets use to lift their words above the level of simple, straightforward storytelling. Open to poets and anyone whose writing involves narrative.
