What is alcohol ink?  As a new medium, it is a little bit like watercolor on steroids. Caution!  Experienced painters and non-painters alike get utterly hooked by this vivid, transparent, forgiving, but wild medium! Experienced painters say that it often frees their own style, giving them a wider range of skills for the inks and their previous mediums.  Beginners find that this medium never muddies and is more forgiving than watercolor.  Because the beauty of the colors is hard to dim, beginners sometimes say, after they’re first sessions, that they feel like they’re cheating!  The ink looks good without much expertise on their part!  ‘Mistakes’ can be their most brilliant stroke!
