Collage is not what you learned in grade school, so forget pasting pictures of vegetables and fruit on the food pyramid! Create your own painted papers to then collage — using paint, paste paper, and printmaking on found papers. This class is for the beginner or more experienced artist who wants to learn the basics of collage from a juried signature member of the Collage Society of America (Susan) and a watercolor/mixed-media artist/teacher (Heather). We will be guided by both formal and intuitive design principles of Robert Rauschenburg, Jacob Lawrence, Pegge Hopper, Gee’s Bend quilters, and other artists who have intriguing work. You can show up for the first class just for fun with the few essentials from the course supply list.

Cost per session: $25 Members / $35 Non-Members
*Plus $5 materials fee paid to the instructor at the beginning of class
