Drypoint Etching with Three Techniques
Two Day Workshop: Saturday, November 7th & Sunday, November 8th, 10:00AM – 2:00PM
Using the etching press to print these Intaglio works, we will engrave Pronto plates with an etching needle for the design. The plate will then be printed on damp archival paper for a small edition. One of the prints will be hand colored and another will achieve aquatint effect by means of monoprint on the etched plate. A third technique will be adding Chine Collé with colored papers or other ephemera in the printing process. We’ll achieve the printmaker’s platemark by mounting the thin Pronto plate on matboard.
