Emerging Collectors Circle Visit to Artists Tara and David Gladden’s Studio
Saturday, February 11, 3:00 pm

Join us for a tour of new media artist collaborative Tara and David Gladden’s art collection and studio in their home in Salisbury, MD, followed by a group dinner at EVO brewery. Tara and David’s interdisciplinary practice explores ideas related to time, space/site, and human perception. Integrating video, sound, performance, installation, sculpture, collage and photography, their projects navigate questions related to our human relationship with technology, transmission and communication systems, and nature. They both hold MFAs from Brooklyn College, and have exhibited and performed widely. In 2012, they founded John Cage Memorial Park, an artist residency and land art project on 4 ½ acres of pine forest in the fishing village of Chance, Maryland. David is Associate Professor and Area Head of New Media Art at Salisbury University, and Tara is Gallery Director and Curator for the Kohl Gallery at Washington College in Chestertown, MD.
The group will view video and sound art and works on paper in Tara and David’s studio and enjoy a special cocktail created for this event. Participation is free, but members are asked to cover their own transportation and tab at dinner following the event.
