Family Art Day: Day of the Dead
For Children Ages 6+ And Their Families
According to the Child Development Institute, “Families can create a harmonious balance in their children’s lives when they make provisions for the arts.” What better way to spend quality time with your child than to come to AAM and work together on a project? The family that makes art together gets smART together! Great for mentors/mentees as well.
DAY OF THE DEAD (Día de los Muertos)
Saturday, October 30, 10:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m.
Visual Arts Studio
The Day of the Dead is a traditional Mexican holiday that celebrates family and friends who have died. It is a time of festivities rather than of sorrow, as deceased loved ones are honored and remembered. Traditions include the creation of colorful home altars. The Museum will offer new crafts this year, so if you have come in the past, please come again.
The Program is FREE – Registration is suggested.
