Little stories are all around us everywhere. Drawing on her experience of making the nearly 100 small watercolor or gouache paintings since the Stay At Home orders, Sheryl will tell students about how the objects and the surroundings in which they live can draw us into a meditation on our lives. In the manner of her own pandemic paintings, Sheryl will help students learn how to observe thoughtfully the stories that the objects around them tell. Beginning with the first class, Sheryl will show a collection of her own small works for discussion. Students will work at home and meet once a week to show and discuss their paintings. Homework is to bring in three 5×7 watercolor or gouache paintings each week. If new Stay At Home orders come into play, the class will be on Zoom. Maximum of 6 students.
