Using pastels, the student will explore learning to see both abstract shapes and colors. Demonstrations, critiques, and personal exploration will help students grasp the technical information and application, as well as the bigger picture – the understanding of composition, color, and mark making. Topics covered will include pastel brands and paper types. Students will bring their own photos for reference of the landscape or cityscape. Maximum of 12 students.

Tara Will is a nationally acclaimed artist who has earned many awards for both her Plein Air and studio work. Her compositions are dynamic with bold and vibrant color. The Academy Art Museum is thrilled to host her first workshop in Easton this fall.
