This class is loaded with painting and drawing techniques, tips from watercolor masters, and exercises to explore the unique behavior of watercolor. It is the right class for a beginner to learn to use a transparent medium as well as a place for seasoned painters to progress.The first hour of class is devoted to beginning students who will be introduced to color theory, watercolor vocabulary, and painting/brush-handling techniques. All exercises will result in small paintings. The last hour of class is dedicated to returning students and to more advanced instruction. More advanced students may pursue personal goals and subject matter. All students will review perspective, watercolor and layout drawing techniques, impressionist approaches, and compositional principles. Two breaks are built into the schedule to give students extra time to complete work at home. There is plenty of time to paint, and LOADS of fun! Maximum of 10 students.
