Macrosculpture Demo, FREE, drop in any time
Macrosculptures balance art with science, abstraction with realism, and sculpting with painting. These large wall-hanging works present the viewer with magnified perspectives of specific bird specimens with intriguing narratives. Tinkham uses a box cutter to sculpt the magnified feathers in basswood. Watch a feather emerge as he slices through wood with surgical precision. During this demonstration, Tinkham will sculpt a larger than life Green-Winged Teal feather.
