In this class students will explore how color relationships affect the perception of color. Each week they will work with a different palette combination to gain an understanding of the characteristics of modern and earth colors and transparent and opaque paints. Students will learn how to alter the intensity and temperature of their colors, mix subtle grays, and create harmony using a limited palette. Using both reference photos and still lifes as subject matter, they will discover how to harness chroma, temperature, and value to improve their paintings. All levels welcome. Minimum 5 students, maximum of 10 students.
