Painting Dramatic Light in the Sky and Landscape
Two-Day Workshop: Saturday, November 21st & Sunday, November 22nd, 10:00AM-3:00PM
This indoor workshop will cover how to choose a good subject to paint from, including photos, images, sketches, etc. (bring lots to choose from),. We will also explore ways for creating a strong composition and design, the use of value and color and new ideas for paint application. We will focus on skies, clouds, sunsets and sunrises, and other scenes with interesting lighting conditions, including night scenes. Demonstrations, group critiques, private instruction, and fun are all included! Students are welcome to use any medium they are comfortable with.
Cost: $260 (Members) / $300 (Non-Members)
Supplies: Instructor will send supply list and handouts well in advance.
Level: Intermediate to advanced

Bio: Sara’s past experience includes illustration, design and work as an assistant gallery director. Known for her dramatic light in the landscape and skies, she has been the winner of numerous awards and a participant in many regional and national shows. She is a member of the Washington Society of Landscape Painters and the Oil Painters of America.
She has traveled broadly teaching in the US, Europe and Mexico.
