This 3-day workshop offers a creative approach to taking portraits. Students will explore candid and controlled situations using imaginative lighting for mood, emphasis, and flattery. They will art direct both studio and environmental scenes and learn how to incorporate simple props or change their perspective. Composition will be the centerpiece of the workshop. Any camera, including a smartphone, is welcome. Countless examples will be shared. Full technical camera instruction will not be included. Maximum of 8 students.
