In September, ArtLab will be exploring the assemblage techniques of Julie Wills, whose work is featured in the Selections Gallery. By working primarily with discarded objects Julie Wills’ work offers a timely examination of the role we all play in creating a landscape where consumerism and ecology have coalesced. We will use found and discarded objects to build our own piece of art, based on the themes we see in Wills work. If you would like, bring an object to include in the assemblage. 

About Drop-in Art Lab
Drop into the Academy on Thursday evenings from 5-7pm to create unique works of art, for free! This drop in class is open to all ages and provides a great way for families to get creative while making original artworks inspired by our current exhibitions. No registration required and we’ll provide all the materials — just stop by and bring your imagination.
