The Academy Art Museum (the “Museum”) is committed to protecting the privacy of its visitors, members, and donors in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
INFORMATION COLLECTED ON THE SITE
The Museum uses the personal information you provide to us for internal purposes, such as processing and tracking your registrations, analyzing trends, and collecting statistics. The Museum may also compile and provide aggregate statistics about our visitors, customers, sales, traffic patterns and related site information to third parties, but these statistics will not include any Personal Data.
We may combine information you give to us online or at the Museum. We may record your email address if you email us, submit an online form that contains your email address, register for classes or events, purchase a membership or make a donation online, or opt to receive email notices of the Museum programs, news, and events. We will never share your email address. You may opt out of the email newsletter at any time by following the link in every newsletter footer or by emailing email@example.com and referencing “Remove from Email Newsletter” in the subject line.
FINANCIAL TRANSACTIONS & DONOR PRIVACY
When you enter into a financial transaction with the Museum, including but not limited to purchasing a membership, making a donation, or registering for a class, we and our third-party merchant (Blackbaud Merchant Services) will request information necessary to process your transaction: your name, billing and mailing address, telephone number, email address and credit card information.
Your credit card information will be used only for the purpose of processing and documenting the transaction. We do not retain your credit card information. We will never share, rent, or sell your credit card information to third parties.
We do not sell our donor, member, or visitor information. As is the common practice for nonprofits to attract new visitors and members, we may exchange the names and postal addresses we receive with other similar nonprofit organizations. If you do not want to have your information used in this way, you may send an email message containing your name and postal address to to firstname.lastname@example.org and referencing “Do Not Share Postal Address” in the subject line.
