In this class beginners will learn the basics of the luminous and transparent painting medium, with many handouts provided for their ongoing study. More seasoned painters and returning students will have the option to choose their subject matter. The instructor will focus on drawing techniques, perspective, juxtaposition of color, lost/found edges where shapes and values meet, and controlling wet-into-wet painting. Georgia O’Keefe’s compressed space of natural objects, and a few of the Impressionists’ broken color landscapes/seascapes will serve as inspiration. Maximum of 12 students.
