Carole moved to the United States from her native country the Netherlands in 2000 when she and her husband tied the knot. She lives on the Eastern Shore of Virginia and the beautiful landscapes of this rural peninsula, as well as other scenery along the East Coast of the US continue to inspire her. She takes lots of photos and creates sketches outdoors and uses these in her studio to create her abstracted paintings
