In this two-day intensive workshop students will have the opportunity to work on floral arrangements from direct observation. They will study the underlying shapes of these complicated subjects while capturing their beauty in a fresh and confident way. Topics covered will be arrangement, simplification, form, composition, lighting, and color mixing. Students may use the medium of their choice, but they must be able to confidently handle that medium. They can use their normal painting supplies along with a few surfaces in the 11×14 or 12×16 range on which to paint. The materials fee covers the cost of fresh flowers. Maximum of 12 students.
