Pastel is a fast, friendly, and forgiving medium once students grasp a few essential principles. This two-day workshop offers a solid grounding in these principles, including pastel and paper selection, application techniques, color theories, and some simple framing strategies. Using value studies and blocking techniques, students can greatly improve their composition skills while producing vivid paintings. Minimum of 5 students, maximum of 12.
