This workshop is designed to take students beyond pastel basics from “start” (pastel surface selection and preparation) to “finish” (determining appropriate framing styles and procedures). Using their own reference photos as a springboard, students will learn how to analyze and design stronger compositions. Mary will provide students with hands-on technical tips, while exploring the rich possibilities of color and mark-making in demos and exercises. Students will frame their finished pastel. The class is ideal for advanced beginners and intermediate students. Minimum of 6 students, maximum of 12 students.
