Just what is a collage? The word comes from the French “coller,” which means “to glue” or “to stick together.” It’s a fun and freeing technique of art creation by assembling bits of different forms, creating a new whole. Collages can be representational, abstract, funny, scary, or a combination. Anyone can collage!
The Museum will have all kinds of materials on hand that participants can experiment with and glue together, but feel free to bring anything from home to work on and/or share with the group. The Collage Open House is free, but space is limited, so please sign up ahead of time so we know how many people to expect. Pop in anytime during the day!
